During the Day Students leaving the school to go to a medical appointment, go home ill etc. must sign out through the Office on the clipboard for that purpose.

Absences

Please phone the Office if a student will be absent or send a note in the agenda the following day. Long-term absences for illness should be reported to the Office. Please note that although we understand the some families take holidays during the school year, teachers can only provide suggestions for work while students are absent.

Student Illness or Accident

If a student is ill or in an accident, parents will notified immediately. Please note that we cannot provide proper facilities for students who are ill with flu or other contagious infections and that every family needs an emergency contact where the student can be sent under these circumstances. Allergies/Medication Students who have severe or life-threatening allergies should be identified when registering. A chart with photos and information is kept in the staff room and medical room so that all staff is aware. Medication is to be kept in the Office in a secure place or in the case of inhalers, near the student.

Use of Electronics at School Electronics such as cameras, i-pods, disc players should be kept at home unless brought to school with a specific purpose and with the teacher’s permission.

If your child has a cell phone, it is to be registered with the child’s teacher and kept in the backpack at all times. We understand that cell phones are necessary for some families but we would appreciate any messages or contact come through the Office. Mrs. Cameron will inform students of any messages in a prompt manner.
